What happened?

Foreigners who haven't paid health insurance premiums above a certain amount can be disadvantaged when extending their stay.

How does it affect me?

If you apply without knowing you owe premiums, you may get a shorter period than you expected.

What should I do?

  1. Check for unpaid premiums at 1577-1000 (press 7 for foreign languages)
  2. If you owe, pay and keep the receipt
  3. Submit the payment confirmation with your extension application
